Jumpstart STEM
Jumpstart STEM is a year-long program designed to support underserved entrepreneurs in STEM fields. It includes 16 weeks of technology and business innovation training, equipping business owners with essential skills for success. The program fosters an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing mentorship, networking, and hands-on learning in a Makerspace. Its goal is to empower minority business owners with tools to innovate, compete, and scale their businesses.
By addressing barriers like limited access to technology and capital, Jumpstart STEM strengthens economic resilience and job creation. It partners with institutions like Blackhawk Technical College to enhance learning opportunities. The program also offers quarterly 3D printing workshops and plans to expand across Wisconsin. Ultimately, Jumpstart STEM aims to bridge gaps in STEM entrepreneurship, ensuring that business owners can thrive in an increasingly technology-driven economy.
